Firepits fumes about her nails…My handcream (by Vaseline) claims that it makes your nails ten-times stronger in two weeks. If my nails are ten times stronger, will I still be able to cut them?
The Right Brain Responds:
Rest easy, Pits, no lotion or cream will make your nails so strong that you can't cut them. Products frequently claim they make your nails (or hair) 2x, 5x, or 10x stronger. Many companies play this numbers game but in our opinion, these claims are a bit sketchy. In reality, it's more about the type of test used and what the product is compared against. If you like the Vaseline product, buy it. But don't buy it just because they tell you it makes your nails 10x stronger. You'll never be able to tell the difference! (BTW, the same goes for expensive nail products like Barielle Nail Strengthening Cream, Milagro Nail Care, and Malvala).
