I keep going back to the Le Metier de Beaute counter at North Park Neiman Marcus because the products are so insanely good that I can't get enough of them! I was reeled in by the liquid eye liner (I now buy it two at a time!) and the other day when my friend Gabrielle got a make over I watched her lose 10 years right in front of my eyes!
I thought this was a French line but found out it's actually owned by Universal Studios and a bevy of celebs (Mary J. Blige, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna just to name a few) and developed by a former Nars artist. The fine milled powders are so incredibly soft, like the white sands in the Bahamas-- and applies on to the skin like silk! I tried the eye shadows and it didn't move all day! Now I know why these celebs look flawless even after hours on the stage-- a ha!
The Kaleidoscope compact is a must have Le Metier de Beaute ($95)-- it comes with four complementary colors that are refillable so you can use the compact over and over (totally justifies the cost!). There are Kaleidoscopes for lips, eyes and face (a quad of powder/illuminizer/blush/bronzer that I'm crazy about). Have you tried this line? You must go to a counter at Neimans to try it out, the SAs are well trained and will give you samples of anything you need (that's how I got to try everything, the super helpful SA at North Park gave me little containers of foundation and Peau Vierge that I'm now addicted to but that's another blog entry).
