Listen, I'm not going to sugarcoat this. I spend more than I should on haircuts. It's just a thing that I do. Some people spend money on fancy dinners, I spend it on haircuts. Sue me.
I don't usually color my hair, because I kind of like my natural color, and also because the last time I got it colored my stylist decided to use some manner of bleach (probably because I had returned to her salon twice after the previous three highlighting sessions to complain that it wasn't light enough….I think the bleach was a fuck you) and I came out looking something like Draco Malfoy.
At any rate, this morning, I had a few moments where I considered getting highlights again, but then I realized that if I got highlights and color together, it would cost more than a monthly car payment. At that, I had a minor heart attack over the person I've become, and then I completely dropped the idea and quickly convinced myself that I really, really like my natural color.
All that leads me to this point: Justin Bieber spends $1,500 a month on his hair. That's $750 a cut, twice a month.
I realize that celebrities do all kinds of things that I would never do, splurge on things I would never splurge on.
But is good hair really worth it? How much would you spend on good hair?
