The older I get, the more I dislike powder. Other than photo shoots and filming, I never use powder anymore. But I still get patches of unwanted shine so I'm on the hunt for a powder alternative. I've tried blotting papers but they still leave a weird texture on my skin. The closest thing I have found lately to perfect looking skin without powderyness is Dior's Crystal Nude, a matte skin perfector. It has silicone micro particles that erase shine and flaws. The formula is silky soft and melts into the skin virtually undetectable to the eye. The only problem is you can only apply it once or twice throughout the day, any more and it kind of cakes up on me (might be due to my own foundation and blush though). In any case, it's the best I've tried-- highly recommend for girls with oily/combo skin who want a pretty matte finish without resorting to powder. And I love pulling this gorgeous silver compact out to use, so chic!
